The Requirements for Exceptional Transfer of Securities (Inheritance):

A. Transfer the securities from the deceased to an inheritance account:

1. An inheritance investor account must be opened in Bahrain Clear.
2. The original inherited securities certificate or the securities’ account statement from Bahrain Clear.
3. The original Inheritance Deed.
4. The original death certificate as well as any ID copy of the deceased.
5. The original Power of Attorney.
6. The legal representative’s original valid passport and ID, as well as the valid passport or ID copies of the inheritors.
7. Securities’ transfer fees: BD10 (VAT exclusive) per company.

B. Distribute the securities as per the Inheritance Deed:

1. All inheritors shall have investor accounts in Bahrain Clear.
2. The original inherited securities certificate or the securities’ account statement from Bahrain Clear.
3. The original Inheritance Deed.
4. The original death certificate as well as any ID copy of the deceased.
5. The presence of the inheritors, OR their legal representative where an original Power of Attorney must be provided.
6. Where there is a legal representative: the legal representative’s original valid passport and ID, as well as the valid passport or ID copies of the inheritors.
7. Where there is no legal representative: the inheritors’ original valid passport and ID.
8. Securities’ transfer fees: BD10 (VAT exclusive) per company per inheritor.

Important Notes:

• In case any of the inheritors is a minor (below the age of 21):
  - The original court order in case the legal representative (guardian) is not the father of the minor.
  - The legal representative’s (the guardian) original valid passport and ID.

• In case any of the inheritors is legally incapacitated (lacking full legal capacity):
  - The original court order to act on behalf of the legally incapacitated inheritor.
  - The legal representative’s (the guardian) original valid passport and ID.
  

• Attestation is required on the documents that are originated outside the Kingdom of Bahrain as per the legalization requirements by The Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  

• Account opening requirements: the original valid passport and ID, residential proof of address, and proof of IBAN.
